Writing: We're reading Walk Two Moons as a class. Each student has a copy to borrow for the duration of our book study. In the beginning of the novel, Sal is about to leave on a cross-country trip with her grandparents.
Writing assignment: write a short personal narrative (one page) about a grandparent or an older adult you have spent some time with. Have you ever gone on a trip with grandparents or another older adult? Write about that trip. Do you have a fond memory (or not so fond) about a time you spent with a grandparent or other older adult? Your memory can be funny, sad, happy or just plain weird. Write about it! Remember your four-square method for setting up your paragraphs. Have fun!
Remember to submit the permission slip and $10 bus fee tomorrow or Monday at the latest. We need to book the bus on Monday. Thanks!
